Our History

2000
Empire begins with a series of audio interfaces which serve as a more convincing alternative to the more well known models. This is attributable to the extremely high quality of the software and a particularly aggressive pricing policy.

2001 – 2002
The product line begins to expand with the introduction of a complete PCI and USB line for watching and recording from TV to PC, as well as products dedicated to Video Editing.

2003
A company so attentive to new technology could not help but be one of the first to introduce PCI, USB and PCMCIA models to receive both terrestrial and satellite Digital TV.

2004
Empire makes an important decision by launching a highly successful range of audio systems. Beginning with affordable products, differentiating itself from the competition with the high quality MDF used in the manufacture of 2.1 systems subwoofers, and in the satellites belonging to the Multimedia line, progressing up to proper audiophile systems with valve amplifiers.

2005
As a result of the continuing increase in the sale of laptop computers and mp3 players Empire outdid itself with a new line of portable audio systems – the M line - with small sizes and plugged in via USB portals.

2006
Begins to produce a new line of products and accessories for the iPod generation in pursuit of the youth market.

2007
Albatros Multimedia Srl announces the launch of a new line of audio systems, the Platinum Series. Composed of high quality products, right down to the smallest detail. Both aesthetically pleasing and practical this line offers a complete surround sound listening experience.

The first model in the Platinum Series is launched in September, the PS-2050: a pair of 2.0 speakers ideal for all applications requiring audio quality without settling for less. Ideal for home studio recording, video post production, but also for listening to CDs and mp3, as well as being fully connectable to the latest video game consoles.

With this new Platinum Series, Albatros hopes to offer its European Empire clientele a wide range of products recognizable for their high quality components, sound performance and extremely modern packaging, reinforcing our philosophy of innovation, quality and convenience.
